Three Taverns Brewery Bringing The Juice | Formation 2

What the brewers say

“Juice-driven, intensely full flavored, and soft AF (as fluff).”

What our panel thought

“Aroma of guava, pineapple, lemon, and nectarine. Complex, vibrant, explosive. Those aromas carry through into the flavor, balanced by a light earthy-cedar note. The body is soft and silky and the bitterness restrained.”

What our editors thought

“The creamy tropical and stone-fruit nose is subtle and smooth, while the sweet guava-peach sip would feel cloying if it weren’t for the light tropical bitterness and generally thinner-than-expected body. Despite the ABV, a general lightness prevails.”

Wallenpaupack Brewing Company Lake Haze #15

Fruity coffee dominant nose with some citrus hidden deep beneath. That coffee dominance continues on into the flavor, where the hops play a supporting role. Really refreshing, chocolate, creamy, coffee flavors with tropical and citrus hop flavor underneath. There is enough body here to make it work without getting in the way of the star of the show. Very clean for all of the flavors, you can pick them out individually, yet they are harmonious too. The sum is more than the parts here, a very bold take on an IPA and executed to perfection., Wow! Coffee in your face!. Amazing coffee aroma and a follow up with straight up coffee taste. Definitely not what I would expect from an IPA, much less a light colored appearance. There is an assertive sweetness that is balanced by a smooth and well rounded fruity bitterness. I want to keep coming back for more to experience the amazing experience going across my palate. Mind Boggling good!!

Sketchbook Brewing Insufficient Clearance

Sort of an old-school take on a new-school hazy, this beer delivers grapefruit and pineapple aromas with a bitter, easy-drinking, lower ABV mouthfeel. Session-style with a firm, bitter edge.

Brew Gentlemen Double Weapons

Solid orange, pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, and mango tropical aroma; bready malt supporting. Light honey-vanilla sweetness; soft but pronounced hop flavors of orange, grapefruit, and light garlic. Smooth, creamy.
